Jorge Bava was announced as the new coach of Independent Santa Fe. He would debut against Deportivo Pasto on April 6 in Bogotá.

Another Uruguayan will lead the Cardinal team. A month after Pablo Peirano’s departure he assumes one of his compatriots.

The new DT was a goalkeeper of Bucaramanga in 2016 and for four years he began his coach career at Liverpool Uruguayo. In that club he won five local titles: Opening 2022, Super Cup 2023, Intermediate 2023, Closing 2023 and the 2023 Championship.

His last experience was in León de México with discreet performance. He directed 16 games, won six, tied three and lost seven.

“The results did not happen as we expected, but everything is learning”, summarized about that stage.
