Xavi Albert, surrendered to his star: “He is a leader. We are very lucky to have him with us, he reads what the team needs at all times”

The coach of Valencia Basket, Xavi Albertpointed out after his team’s victory against Paris Basketball in the Euroleague, that TJ Shorts He was impressive but what stood out, beyond his 25 points and 8 assists, was the ability to lead that he is having at this start of the campaign.

“For TJ, Paris is very special because of the time it was here. He has been impressive, he is a leader, it is not the points or the assists, it is the control he has over what happens. “I’m happy that he was able to meet the Paris fans again like this,” he said at the subsequent press conference.

“We are very lucky to have him with us. I isolate him from the amount of points or assists he can make, I stay with the leader who reads what he needs in the team at all times,” he highlighted.

The Valencian coach was “happy with the progression and continuity in the work” and “very happy” with how they made the adjustments in the third quarter.

“It was a high-paced game, especially in the first half with the teams playing very physically, with quick attacks and without the defenses being able to control the game. In the second half we controlled the rebound better and I think it was the key to the victory, I am very proud of the boys and the defensive work“he noted.
