Vesely: “We have played all season to win a trophy”

Barça center Jan Vesely has assessed that “controlling the pace, always being in the game and maintaining concentration” will be decisive aspects in the final of the Endesa League, the best of five games, which will pit his team against Valencia Basket starting this Thursday.

“I think we are in a good moment, like Valencia. It will be a good final. They are a very talented team, they have had an incredible season. They have all positions well covered,” said the Czech international in statements released this Wednesday by the Barça club.

Vesely has stressed that they will have to focus on their game and jump onto the Roig Arena court “with the same energy as in the quarterfinals and semifinals, and build from there.”

Finally, the center, who will retire when the season ends at the age of 36, has analyzed how important it would be for the club to win the Endesa League after two blank seasons.

“We have played all season to win a trophy and we have worked for ten months to be in this situation. We have ahead of us the ten most important days of the season. We are all excited and ready to play,” he reflected.
