UEFA bans Czech MFK Karviná from participating in the Europa League

The UEFA Appeal Body has just communicated the ban to the team of the Czech Republic MFK Karviná to participate in the Europa League of the next season. Inadmissibility that the highest body of European football executes in accordance with the UEFA Regulations of the competition itself and “for being directly and/or indirectly involved in activities aimed at fixing or influencing the result of matches at the national level.” This is stated in the official resolution.

As a consequence of this decision, the place that was initially reserved for MFK Karviná, as winner of the national cup, will be occupied by FC Viktoria Plzeň. And the one that the latter had reserved in the second qualifying round of the Europa League itself will be occupied by FC Hradec Králové. And in the case of the Conference League, FK Jablonec will play against NK Varaždin.
