The first ParaHockey World Cup will be played
Something historic will happen in 2026. From August 21 to 25, the first edition of the ParaHockey World Cup will be played, a tournament that will be played in the Netherlands and Belgium simultaneously with the World Cup, for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
HC Myra in Amstelveen, Netherlands, and Louvain-La-Neuve HC, in Belgium will be the stadiums where the competition will be played, with the exception of the finals, which will be at Wagener Stadium and Belfius Hockey Arena. There will be teams of six players and 16 teams (per category) will make up the competition.
This World Cup opens the doors for other future competitions, such as the Paralympic Games that will be held in Santiago, Chile, in 2027. For more information, click here.
