The Bulls hire Brazilian Tiago Splitter as new coach

The Chicago Bulls reached an agreement this Monday with Brazilian Tiago Splitter to become the new coach of the franchise, according to the ESPN network.

Splitter, who played for Baskonia in his playing career before competing in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers, will replace Billy Donovan on the Bulls bench.

The Brazilian convinced the Chicago sports management after his results at the head of the Portland Trail Blazers, of which he was interim coach in the last year.

Splitter led the Blazers to the playoffs after a 42-40 record in the regular season.

He will take the reins of the Bulls who intend to relaunch themselves after four years without qualifying for the playoffs. AND
