Spain submits the candidacy questionnaire to organize the 2035 Rugby World Cup

The Royal Spanish Rugby Federation (RFER) delivered the Candidacy Questionnaire (‘Applicant Questionnaire’) before world rugby within the deadline set by the international federation to organize the 2035 World Cup.

As reported by the RFER, This step is “overcoming the second formal phase and the first major filter of detailed information in the competition for the choice of the venue for the World Cup”.

“Through this exhaustive technical document, the spanish project formally demonstrates compliance with the highest operational, commercial, infrastructure and sustainability standards required by the highest organization of world rugby”, explains the federative entity on its official website, which also thanks all the institutions for their collaboration in making this candidacy possible, which “has achieved unanimous political and institutional support.”

The Spanish Federation underlines “the firm commitment of the Government of Spain, the parliamentary arc in its entirety and a very special recognition of the extraordinary involvement and drive demonstrated by the autonomous communities, councils and city councils that have decidedly opted to host and sub-host the tournament.”

For the REDR, “This transversal alliance guarantees comprehensive coverage throughout the national map and reflects the absolute consensus around a transformative country event.”
