Pickford, again, involved in a police investigation
Jordan Pickford has been found guilty for reckless driving after almost causing an accident with his Lamborghini on April 14.
According to an agent of the Cheshire Policethe footballer ignored the yield lines at the intersection of Princess Street and Toft Road, forcing two other drivers to brake suddenly. The authorities described that, after what happened, the goalkeeper ignored police stop signs, which led to a chase in which Pickford was traveling at 80 km/h in an area limited to 48 km/h. Finally, the footballer stopped on the side of the road.
This week, the England international pleaded guilty in writing to the charge and has requested a court hearing to outline his mitigating circumstances. Last week the hearing was postponed; Therefore, Pickford will have to appear next December 7 in a court in Cheshire, northern England.
Pickford and controversy seem to go hand in hand
We go back four years, where a new Pickford scandal came to light. The Everton goalkeeper was involved in a massive fight in a bar in East Boldon, South Tyneside. It was learned that it all started after some people present made fun of him for his “small arms.” This did not sit well with the goalkeeper, who started a fist fight. One man ended up with a broken nose, although there was no indication that the England international was the one who hit him.
But this was not the first scandal in which the goalkeeper was involved. In 2019, Jordan Pickford was filmed getting into a fistfight again in a Sunderland pub. The Englishman had to be restrained by several people so that the incident did not escalate.
Added to this long list is his appearance, in 2021, half-naked at a party after the Euro Cup and the biggest controversy: the serious injury that caused Van Dijk, for which he was threatened and had to hire a bodyguard.
