Elena Rybakina extended his great tennis moment in the WTA Finals 2025. In Riyadh, the Kazakh woman got rid of Ekaterina Alexandrova who entered the tournament at the last minute as alternate following the withdrawal of Madison Keys. In a match that only defined the first position in the group, number six took the victory by 6-4 and 6-4.

The 2022 Wimbledon champion said goodbye to the group stage of the Arab tournament with a record of three wins, six sets won and only one lost. The only player who could steal a sleeve was the Polish player Iga Swiatekwith whom he had a disputed match.

About the end of the match against the Russian AlexandrovaElena lost a game for the match and then came back with two more break points that could have extended the process of a match that ended at one hour and 13 minutes.

For Rybakinathis pass to the semifinals is the first in his entire career in the WTA Finals. In his previous participations (2023 and 2024) he had never managed to overcome the Round Robin. And with the perfect record it has in this 2025 edition, it is positioned as the main candidate for the title.

The Serena Williams group finished with the Kazakh in first place and Alexandrova/Keys in last. Second place will then be defined by Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova.
