The 76ers dressed completely black uniforms from 1997 to 2009. The team of the 2000-01 season, led by Allen Iiverson and the defensive player of the year Dikembe Mutombo, was one of the most successful in the history of the Sixers.

The Philadelphia 76ers have their ‘answer’ for the classic shirt of the next season.

The team recovers its iconic black uniforms of the 2000-01 season to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its team champion team. Also marks the anniversary of the campaign of Allen Iiverson As MVP, where it averaged 31 points per game, the maximum of the League.

Although we did not achieve our final goal, I am grateful for the time I played with the uniform of the 76ers. Even now, I still know people where I go that I talk about the passion they felt for our team and that streak.”

The Hardwood Classic Edition uniform is designed to recreate the original appearance of a past era, with the word “Sixers” written in the chest and the logo “76” in the shorts.

Philadelphia uniforms include the popular water brand “Sixers”, with a star on the “I” and a basketball ball floating underneath. The franchise had the water brand “Sixers” in its uniforms from 1997 to 2009.

The 76ers will also play on a field with a classical theme, which appeared on Thursday.

“This uniform is more than a simple piece of fabric; it represents an era in the history of the franchise that adopted a distinctive identity and captured the attention of the entire city,” said Lara Price, director of operations of the 76ers. “Seeing these return uniforms on the court will bring a lot of nostalgia, and we are excited to share it in many ways with our fans this season.”

Philadelphia had a 56-26 record in the 2000-01 season, reaching the NBA finals, where they lost against Los Angeles Lakers in five games, which marked the last participation of the franchise in the finals.
