Pedro Martínez: “Gaby Deck’s injury is more serious than we thought”
The left shoulder injury of the Argentine international forward Gabriel ‘Gaby’ Deck is, in principle, “more serious” than was thought at Real Madrid, as its coach recognized this Sunday, Pedro Martínez, after the Liga Endesa match won 120-83 against Kids&Us Manresa.
“I imagine that the club will communicate it shortly. In principle the injury is more serious than we thought. But “I don’t know exactly the deadlines or treatment he will receive,” He stated before the media in reference to Deck, who did not play in this match.
The Argentine suffered the injury last Tuesday and already missed the Euroleague match in which his team beat Partizan Belgrade. At that time, his coach confirmed that he would not take to the track this Sunday either, although it was left in the hands of medical tests to determine the exact extent of the illness.
Deck already had problems with the aforementioned left shoulder at the end of August, during his participation with the Argentine team in the qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup. Then he hurt it during a match in which the Albiceleste beat Puerto Rico 89-75 and, days later, he was forced to leave the court, for the same reason, in the second quarter so as not to play again in another match against Canada.
