The legendary Italian circuit will continue on the World Cup agenda after the contract renewal.

Two weeks ago, Monaco signed the renewal of its Grand Prix with Formula 1 until 2031. The race in the principality was one of six whose ties with Liberty Media (promoter of the World Cup) expired at the end of 2025. Before closing the 11th month of 2024, another legendary track extended its contract: Monza.

The temple of speed, which hosted Formula 1 74 times, will remain on the agenda until 2031 even after the signing of the contract. “The new agreement follows significant improvements made to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza ahead of the 2024 Grand Prix, where 335,000 fans were there throughout the weekend to witness Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc’s victory as the checkered flag fell,” communicated from the competition organization.

Those in charge of the Monza racetrack carried out works during 2024 to satisfy requests from F1 and the FIA and thus encourage renovation. The track was completely resurfaced, a new underpass was built, and the pits and grandstands were improved. Finally, everything added up to the extension of the contract.

With Monza renewed, there are four races left on the current agenda whose contracts end in 2025: Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort, Imola and Mexico. The competition in the land of Checo Pérez would be the next that would announce its renewal.
