Kane, chosen footballer of the season ahead of Olise

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane was chosen best footballer of the 2025-26 academic year in Germany ahead of his teammate Michael Olise and Deniz Undav, from Stuttgart, the first German on the list.

Kane obtained, in the election organized by the magazine “Kicker”, 272 votes compared to 203 for Olise and 61 from Undav among the 656 members of the German Sports Journalists Association.

Last season Kane scored 61 goals in 51 games officials for Bayern and also won the European Golden Boot. A few days before, the English player had declared that it had been the best season in his entire career.

Among women the award went to the midfielder Giulia Gwinn, also from Bayern.
