Jeremy Trevithick, winger of the national rugby 7 team, integrated into the ‘ideal team’ of the 25/26 World Series
Jeremy Trevithick, winger of the national rugby 7 team, integrated into the ‘ideal team’ of the 25/26 World Seriesstated this Saturday that “this season, personally, has been special” because he “never would have thought” to achieve this achievement when he began “to practice this modality.”
Trevithick, 24 years old and trained at Marbella RC, recalled that he has been dedicated “to rugby for only three years and admitted, in statements to EFE, that “none of this would have been possible without the effort and work of the entire team”, runner-up in the world last season and third in which it concluded a week ago.
“For the national team, I think it has been a season with many ups and downs, since we have had quite a few bad moments but we have also had good moments. “It has been very difficult to maintain the level we set last year because the bar was very high,” added the player of Lebanese origin.
Looking ahead to the next exercise, qualifying for the Los Angeles Olympic Games, Trevithick considers that “without a doubt, there is more to improve”, although it will be “important not to get complacent with the level we have shown these two years” and to delve into “physical and tactical preparation.”
The third leading scorer in the World Series believes that he is facing “the most important season” of his “career so far, the possibility of qualifying for the Olympic Games has never been so clear.”but warned that this objective represents a “challenge” that will require “a lot of work, effort and sacrifice.”
