How is the Metropolitan Tournament B

The Metropolitan Contest is the most competitive tournament in Buenos Aires, not only in the A but in all categories, especially the B, which defines which teams are going to fight to ascend to the highest category.

On the female side, the format is Round Robin, two rounds. Those teams that end in the first two positions will play the 2026 in the A, and the third will be measured with the A team that was in the playout in search of promotion. Currently the position table is as follows: BACRC (1st), Belgrano (2nd), Olivos (3rd), SIC (4th), Ducilo (5th), Naval Liceo (6th), San Cirano (7th), BV Regattas (8th), Cuba (9th), Vélez (10 °), Geba B (11 °), Hacoaj (12 °), almost (13th), San Luis (14 °).

The male tournament is different. In category B there are two areas of 10 teams. The first round ended on Sunday, May 25 and now they will play an interzonal, June 8 and 22. The first six in each zone classify another tournament, which will play for promotion. In this contest there are no descents. For now the standings are like this:

– B1: Santa Barbara (1st), Vélez (2nd), AACF Quilmes (3rd), Lanús (4th), Geba B (5th), Berazategui (6th), Quilmes B (7th), Bank Province B (8th), Santa Barbara B (9th), Municipality Florencio Varela (10 °).

– B2: SAG (1st), QHS (2nd), Ferro (3rd), City B (4th), Sag Lomas de Zamora (5th), Sitas (6th), Martín Güemes (7th), Cerro Pilar (8th), Students of La Plata (9th), Luján RC (10 °).

Those who end in the first two places of the tournament that formed after the interzonal will rise to the A, while the third will play playoffs.
