The Dutch final surprised: the team that had never reached a final of this format of the women’s Euro Hockey League (since 2021), defeated the current champion. SCHC was crowned after beating Den Bosch by the minimum with a goal from Yibbi Jansen.

The first quarter was total study. The suspense only appeared with 30 seconds left before the half-time whistle as a corner came for SCHC: Yibbi Jansen was on base but they opted for a play and failed.

In the second quarter the same thing happened: almost without risk until the last. With six seconds left, the locals managed to get a penalty and chose Matla to execute it but without luck and they went to halftime without any goals, 0 to 0.

The course of the match continued along the same path. Few dangerous attacks, almost no interventions by the goalkeepers and a back-and-forth that maintained parity in control of the ball. As if it were a continuity, again – just like in the first two quarters – with three seconds left, a short corner. It was in favor of the women in white and this time the panorama did change: Yibbi Yansen was lethal and converted with a strong drive down the left. In this way, the team that had never reached a final – since 2021 – went up 1 to 0.

With 90 seconds left, Den Bosch had the opportunity to tie it with a shot from Matla in the last corner of the game, but they couldn’t do it and the story was for the visitors. SCHC thus achieved its second European title. The first was in 2015 in what was called the EuroHockey Club Cup and now in this new format that is the women’s Euro Hockey League.

The Mannheimer HC, where the Argentine Lucina Von der Heyde and Agustina Habif play, took the bronze of the tournament after beating Club de Campo de Madrid by 3 to 2.
