Ferrari will honor Schumacher at Monza 30 years after his signing

Ferrari will honor Michael Schumacher this weekend on the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza30 years after the arrival of the German driver to the team, with a special decoration on its vehicles and various activities.

The Ferrari SF-26s of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will sport a livery inspired by the F310 that Schumacher drove in his first season with Ferrari in 1996.

The cars, predominantly red with white and black details, will include a gold element on the wheels in reference to the magnesium components used at that time.

The cars will also carry the logo used by Schumacher and a design on the nose inspired by one of their latest helmets, with seven stars on a red background.

The tribute will also feature three cars from different stages of Schumacher’s career, the F310 from 1996, the 248 F1 from 2006 and the F2002, with which the German won the 2002 World Championship.

On Saturday, Rubens BarrichelloSchumacher’s teammate for five seasons, will ride with the F2002, while on Sunday Sebastian Vettel will perform a tribute lap before the start of the Grand Prix.

Schumacher won five times at Monzain 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006, and is the most successful driver in Ferrari’s history in Formula 1.

The celebrations will extend to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello (northern Italy), which from September 4 to 30 will display the five cars from Schumacher’s titles between 2000 and 2004, along with trophies and material dedicated to the German driver.
