F1: Alpine had to remove the car of Pierre Gasly from the Belgian sprint grid
The team found a French A525 fault and had to leave the eighth place that had achieved. Franco Colapinto, also left from Boxes.
For something Alpine occupies the last place in the World Cup. In the last four appointments, the Estone team showed fissures that can be found in a messy and wandering team. In Canada they had to make the change of brake records in Franco Colapinto car in full grid. In Great Britain, the Argentine could not leave for a problem in the gearbox. And in Belgium, an inconvenience left the Sprint to Pierre Gasly.
The Frenchman had dressed in Harry Potter to make magic with the A525 in the classification for the Sprint of the 13th date of the 2025 season when he got into SQ3 and ensure the eighth starting position. Gasly had surrendered well above the level of his car. The fishing chance some point in the short race was possible for the Gaul. But … when the 10th car parked in the eighth drawer, something was happening. The mechanics went to work in trouble, raised the engine lid, removed the pontoons and found a water leak. Two delegates from the FIA immediately approached to control the work, because until the competition is long, the cars are under closed park.
Finally, the mechanics had to withdraw the Gasly Alpine from the grid and take it to boxes, resigning the great starting position it had achieved. Flavio Briatore, de facto director of the team, asked for explanations, while the mechanics parked the A525 in the PIT. The pilot, resigned, looked. Next to car 10 was the 43 of Franco Colapintowhich was also removed from the grill because the closed park regime was broken to make aerodynamic changes (a rear spoiler was put with less load). Thus, the two French cars were in Pits, while the other 18 were waiting on the line for the beginning of the sprint.
The Estone mechanics changed the left radiator of Gasly A525 and French could start short competition with two less laps. Of a real chance of adding points, the Frenchman turned to go testing that his alpine weak was in order for the classification that will take place this Saturday.
