Cubs loses Steele the entire campaign for elbow surgery

In general, Steele has a 32-22 record with an effectiveness of 3.30 in 91 openings in his career, all with the Cubs.
The lesion leaves a great hole in the equipment rotation. The long reliever Colin Rea occupied Steele in the rotation on Sunday night, when the Cubs faced the Dodgers. The team has several other candidates in the squad that could be considered, including left -handed Jordan Wicks and right -handed Cade Horton.
Horton is one of the best prospects of the Cubs, but is still recovering from an injury that kept him out of action last year. The team could also consider a possible exchange, since it is likely that the right of Miami Marlins, Sandy Alcántara, is available in the market this summer.
