Betplay League: Tolima scored, climbed the table and was one step away from the playoffs
Sports Tolima signed a round night in the BetPlay League. The pijao team beat 4-1 Golden Eagles at the Manuel Murillo Toro stadium, on date 15 of the Apertura Tournament, in a result that catapults it to the top of the standings.

Tolima reacted before the break and found the tie in the 43rd minute through Luis ‘Chino’ Sandoval, who began to lead the way in the comeback. Already in the second half, Sandoval himself appeared again at 49′ to turn the score around.
The dominance of the pijao team became increasingly evident and in the 70th minute Juan Pablo ‘Tatay’ Torres extended the lead, before Sandoval sealed his great night with his third personal goal in the 72nd minute, making it 4-1.
With this victory, Tolima reached 26 points and climbed to third place in the table, being just three units away from ensuring their classification to the semi-final home runs of the championship.
The big difference in commitment was in its two determining figures: Luis ‘Chino’ Sandoval, who scored a hat trick and contributed an assist, and Juan Pablo ‘Tatay’ Torres, who scored a goal and gave two assists, being key in the offensive generation of the team led by David González.
Golden Eagles failed to sustain initial lead and ended up surpassed by the intensity and effectiveness of the venue, especially in the complement.
This result leaves Tolima very close to securing its place in the playoffsin a final stretch of all against all where each point is decisive.
