ATP Finals 2025: what the draw is like and the tournament format

There is less and less left until the start of the ATP Finals 2025. The best tennis players of the season will compete there, seven spots already defined and the last to be confirmed. In this context we will analyze how is the draw and the tournament formatwhose structure differs from conventional tennis competitions.

ATP Finals 2025: what the draw is like

He ATP Finals 2025 draw will be done next Thursday, November 6 in the city of Turin. It will take place at the Grattaciello Intesa Sanpaolo in the Italian city starting at 12:00 local time.

It will consist of dividing the eight classified in a Round Robin, a system of all against all, in two groups. There, tennis players with correlative ranking will not be able to compete against each other. Taking into account that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will be the seeds, Alexander Zverev will not be able to collide with Novak Djokovic (if he participates), Taylor Fritz with Ben Shelton and Alex de Miñaur with Lorenzo Musetti or Félix Auger-Aliassime.

ATP Finals: tournament format

The tennis players will be divided into two groups of four players each. Those that end in The first two places will advance to the semifinals while the other two will be eliminated.

To determine the positionsfirst we will take into account the number of matches wonbut in case of parity between two players, the tiebreaker will be the match played between them. But, if the tie is between three tennis players, what will break the tie will be the percentage of sets won in first place and the percentage of games won in second place. If parity persists there, the last criterion will be the ATP ranking.
