Wink from the Giro d’Italia 2027 to Pogacar with an exciting and demanding route: with a time trial, lots of hard mountains and a brutal last week, with a double climb to Mortirolo, Gavia and Zoncolan

The Sinopoli Hall of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome dressed up this Tuesday to host the 110th edition of the Giro d’Italia and the 38th Giro d’Italia Women. As MD advanced, the ‘Corsa Rosa’ maintains the charm and magic that has characterized it throughout its history, in which the hardness of the mountains, the impossible ramps and the mythical peaks will be present again next year in the Giro.

The presentation of both routes lasted two hours, with the two trophies awarded to the winners presiding over the stage. The female test will start in Viareggio on Saturday, May 29 and will conclude on Sunday, June 6 with the stage of Monte Bianco. The route, made up of nine stages, covers a total of 1,132 kilometers and has a cumulative gradient of 17,450 meters. Two high-altitude finishes are scheduled: the first in the fourth stage, between Credaro and the Passo della Presolanaand the second in the sixth stage, between Bergamo and Madesimo-Valle Spluga. Decisive moments also include individual time trial (ITT) uphill ‘Valdigne Tudor‘and the final stage, which will take place entirely in the Aosta Valley and has been called the stage of Monte Bianco.

After knowing the route of the Giro d’Italia Women, the men’s route has been presented, which will be held from May 8 to 30, which is especially demanding, as reflected by the 50,250 meters of elevation gain spread over the planned 3,418.9 kilometers. After two years in a row with the departure outside of Italy, next year the Giro will once again host its ‘Grande Partenza’ in Italian territory, in Triestetraveling part of the route of this first and second stage in Slovenia, in a clear attempt to try to seduce again to Tadej Pogacar, who already ran the test in 2024 and won it.
