South Korea, first Asian team to reach the finals

The team of South Korea has become the first Asian country to qualify for the Final Eight of the Davis Cup which will be disputed in Bologna (Italy) by certifying the 3-1 over India in Seoul.

Soon-woo Kwon157 in the world, beat this Saturday Sumit Nagal (247) with absolute ease, 6-1 and 6-2, in one hour and nine minutes of play and certified the third and final point for the South Korean squad.

On Friday, the Asian team staged two comebacks to get the tie back on track at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul. Soon-woo Kwon defeated Dhakshineswar Sureh by 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4, and Hyeon Chung to Nagal by 2-6, 6-4 and 7-5.

Thus, South Korea will be in the final phase that will take place from November 24 to 28 at the SuperTennis Arena in Bologna.

Previously, India had extended the confrontation by winning the doubles match. N. Sriram Balaji and Suresh they defeated Jisung Nam and Ulsung Park by 6-3, 3-6 and 6-3.
