Del Toro sweeps the Tour of Germany

He Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro (UAE Team)third in the last Tour de France, was proclaimed this Sunday champion of the Return to Germany after the dispute of the fourth and final stage, consolidating himself at 22 years old as one of the great stars of the international peloton.

Del Toro began the last stage of 156.5 kilometers around Heilbronnwith a route of ups and downs with three ascents to the Jägerhauswith an average slope of 5.2%, 52 seconds ahead of the Frenchman Louis Barré and 1:05 ahead of the Swiss Marc Hirschi.

After several escape attempts by Barré that were neutralized, Del Toro launched an attack just over twelve kilometers away that led him to lead the race. However, in the last section he was caught by the chasing group, which included the Frenchman Paul Magnierwho took the victory in the sprint.

With this victory, Isaac del Toro adds his twentieth title since he won the first in 2023 in the Porven Tourgo. Only this 2026, so far, has won the UAE Tour, Tirreno Adriatico, Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes and this Tour of Germany
