German football federation headquarters searched

News flash. It is reported exclusively by the newspaper ‘Bild’, which claims that the headquarters of the German Football Federation (DFB) is currently being searched for an issue related to the tickets of the Euro 2024. More than 150 investigators from the Criminal Police of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia are searching the headquarters of the DFB this morning. The town halls and municipal administrations of the host cities were also inspected.

The investigation focuses on hotel invitations and several thousand tickets that could have been illegally distributed to privileged guests before the Euro Cup, held in Germany. There is suspicion of structured favor treatment and, therefore, bribery. Employees of municipal administrations throughout Germany could also be affected.
