Moses Wright confirms it: “I am very excited to play in a big city like Barcelona”

American center Moses Wright confirmed this Sunday that he will leave Zalgiris Kaunas to become a Barça player next season.

He did it himself during an interview with the Greek television network Cosmote TV, within the framework of the Stoiximan AegeanBall Festival, the largest 3×3 basketball event in Greece.

His arrival in the Greek country had caused a lot of stir, generating various rumors about a possible incorporation to either of the two biggest clubs, Olympiacos, for which he already played, or Panathinaikos.

However, the player, despite recognizing the strengths of Greece as a country, revealed what had been talked about for some time in the media, an agreement with Barça: “There are many rumors about finding me here, but I will be in Spain next season.”

Likewise, he was excited about the next big thing in his career.

“Barça is a great team, a great club, with a good coach and good players. I am very excited to play in a great city like Barcelona,” he said.

In the absence of officialdom from the Barça club, Wright, 27 years old and 2.06 meters tall, will become one of the first major reinforcements of the new Barça, which said goodbye to the season by losing in the finals for the Endesa League title against Valencia Basket.

The American interior had one of his best seasons in the Euroleague in the ranks of the Lithuanian Zalgiris, with averages of 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 17.1 efficiency per game.
