Muchova, champion in Bo Homburg after Osaka withdrawal

The Czech Karolina Muchovanumber eleven in the WTA ranking, was proclaimed this Saturday champion of the Bo Homburg (Germany), in her first final on grass, after the Japanese retired in the second set Naomi Osaka due to some discomfort in the right foot.

Muchova, Roland Garros finalist three seasons agoreached the German tournament in the ninth final of his career, the third in 2006 and the first on grass as well.

After winning this year in Doha, and in Seoul in 2019, the Czech won the third title of her career after Naomi Osaka’s retirementwhich already had lost the first set 6-1 and lost the second 1-0 when he decided to stop playing after 46 minutes.

Osaka, former world number one and winner of four Grand Slam tournaments, had reached the final without giving up a set during her tour of the German tournament.
