17-22: Silicius Majadahonda, champion of the Queen’s Cup
He Silicius Majadahonda Rugby Club has been crowned champion of the Iberdrola Queen’s Cup women’s team after winning 17-22 this Saturday against CRAT A Coruña at OnTime Stadium Butarque from Leganés (Madrid).
The Galician team had achieved the surprise of the semifinals by knocking down the Colina Clinic El Salvador (42-32), in a high-paced match in which he imposed his offensive efficiency and his ability to punish rival errors.
However, CRAT A Coruña gave up in the final against Majadahonda, who already survived in a semi-final of maximum tension and equality against the Getxo Rugby (17-18), decided in the last minutes.
Majadahonda fulfilled the predictions in the final and defeated the Galician team for the third time this season after two League games, 14-28 on the opening day and 37-10 on the 8th day 8 of the championship.
