Mark Hughes’ son dies suddenly at 38

Mark Hughes (62) is completely devastated by the sudden death of his son Alex at 38 years of age. Neither the former Manchester United and FC Barcelona forward (1986-87) expected his death nor did his family and Hughes announced the tragedy in an emotional statement, saying that it has left his family “totally heartbroken.”

The former Wales, Blackburn, Manchester City and Stoke City manager shared the tragic news via the League’s Coaches’ Association. “Jill and I are completely heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved son Alex. “Alex was a wonderful son, brother to Curtis and Xenna, devoted husband and father to Jessica and their two beautiful sons, Sebastian and Leonardo.”.

The statement continues like this: “Alex was the player recruitment manager at Grimsby Town FC and had many good friends and teammates. We will all miss him very much. We ask for privacy during this sad time as we come to terms with the loss of our family member.“.
