Jalen Brunson, the pride of the Knicks leader: “We have to believe”
A team is what its leader is and the guts of these New York Knicks are those of Jalen Brunsonmolded the warrior spirit of the New York team in the image and likeness of the point guard’s spirit, one that shined in its maximum splendor last night.
Brunson, small with his 1.88 but with a huge heart, he led last night with 36 points the biggest comeback that has ever been seen in an NBA Finals game.
The Knicks recovered from a 52-81 deficit with 9:27 left in the third quarter against the San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama to make it 3-1 in the series and see very close a ring that they have not won since 1973.
However, where Jalen Brunson had the most to show off those guts that define him is in defensesince the Spurs did not stop accumulating points in the first half by attacking the point guard.

“I was just more focused on our attention to detail, understanding that we have to believe to do the things we want to do. And that’s also our defense,” the Knicks star said. Last night, more than ever, he defended his pride. And never better said.
