Sterling scandal: arrested after crashing while driving under the influence of drugs

Raheem Sterling (31 years old) is once again in the eye of the hurricane. Now, for one police arrest which took place this Thursday, May 28 in Minley (England). The reason? crashing his luxurious Lamborghini into the median of a highway while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

“On Thursday, shortly before 9 in the morning, we received information that A Lamborghini had collided with safety railings on the M3 southbound near the Minley Interchange. There were no other vehicles involved and no injuries were reported,” Hampshire Police said in a statement.

And they added: “He was immediately accused of driving under the influence of drugsof reckless drivingof possession of a drug Class C and refusing to submit to a test. “He has been released on bail while the investigation continues.”

The authorities did not make public the name of the detainee. However, the English press took it upon themselves to do so immediately. And it is not at all surprising considering the resume of extra-sports controversies of the Jamaican throughout his entire sporting career.

He is not doing in the best possible way professionally either. He arrived at Feyenoord of the Eredivise last January after three years adrift and he has only played 8 games there. So, this new incident may precipitate his goodbye to professional football at 31 years old. We’ll see what happens this summer…
