Del Potro and Sabatini answered if Novak Djokovic will be able to win another Grand Slam
During their participation as Ambassadors of the Roland Garros Junior Series in Brazil, Argentine legends Juan Martín del Potro and Gabriela Sabatini shared their perspectives on Novak Djokovic’s legacy and future.
Both agreed, on the pitch after the match, that the Serbian remains the rival to beat, despite speculation about his retirement and the push of the new generations. Djokovic, who holds 24 Grand Slam titles, has expressed his intention to continue competing at the highest level, even with his sights set on the 2028 Olympic Games.
And Gabriela Sabatini was forceful when asked about Novak’s possibilities: “Well, he always has the best opportunities. On any surface, I would say. He has shown that he has won on all of them, so he has a chance in every tournament he plays.”
True to his style, Juan Martín del Potro simplified the argument by highlighting the Serb’s hierarchy: “Yes… it’s Djokovic.” In addition, he added a personal wish that resonates in the world of tennis: “I would like to see him win the 25th Grand Slam.”
