“I would love to see it”: Feliciano López spoke about a hypothetical final between Alcaraz and Sinner at the Madrid Open

Without official matches since last November, within the framework of the ATP Finals, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (1st) and Italian Jannik Sinner (2nd) begin to make tennis fans impatient about the next duel against each other, even awakening the illusion of Feliciano Lopez about a hypothetical final at the Madrid Open.

Along the same lines, the owner of seven titles in the Tourfour on grass, continued: “We have seen in Madrid the best of the best: Novak (Djokovic) vs. Federer, Rafa (Nadal) vs. Novak, Rafa vs. Federer, Carlos vs. Rafa in that last stage where Djokovic, Carlos met… also a great match lasting more than three hours, I remember it perfectly. They have been great games that will be remembered in the history of the tournament. So well, I hope Sinner and Carlitos can be there.”

It should be noted that the young man from Murcia, 22 years old, and the one born in San Candido, 24, have settled in 16 occasions at the highest level, four on brick dusta surface on which Sinner started at the front by winning the final of Umag 2022 and Alcaraz advanced unceremoniously by winning the semifinals of Roland Garros 2024, and the decisive instance of Rome 2025 and Roland Garros 2025.
