“If you want to beat me, you have to work hard on every point”: the warning from Sinner’s next rival at the Miami Open

Jannik Sinner and Frances Tiafoe will be the protagonists of one of the most attractive duels that the quarterfinals of the Miami Open. And prior to this match, the American tennis player referred to his next rival and left him a small warning.

In a press conference, the former Top 10 expressed: “Now I trust in suffering; I don’t give up. If they want to beat me, they have to work hard on every point. Sometimes you’re tired or nervous, but so is your opponent.”

Besides, Tiafoe He also talked about his history with Sinnerwhom he has already faced on several occasions: “I love these types of matches. Last time I had my opportunities. I’m excited to face him and see what level I’m at.”

The American comes from having a good start to the year, where he already played in a final (Acapulco) and was the protagonist until the last rounds in Delray Beach (4th) and Indian Wells (8th). All this made it possible for him to re-enter the Top 20 and dream of returning to the Top 15, a place where he has not been since August 2025.
