The Colombian National Team confirmed that it will play one last friendly match before going to the 2026 World Cup. Contrary to what happens in the Qualifiers, the game will be in Bogota and not in Barranquilla.

The tricolor will play again in Bogotá. It will be the May 29 with a confirmed opponent in what would be their penultimate preparation match on their return to the top tournament. It will not be for a FIFA date but it will serve for the fans to enjoy as a farewell.

Who will be Colombia’s rival in their farewell match before the World Cup?

Colombia confirmed to Costa Rica as a rival for this match. He faced the Central Americans in the 2024 Copa América at the close of the group stage. They beat 3-0 in Arizona with scores from Luis Díaz, Davinson Sánchez and Jhon Córdoba. The Ticos were eliminated from the World Cup.

Additionally, in the week prior to their debut against Uzbekistan, in Group K, they will face Jordan in the United States in California.
