Rybakina reached the semifinals of the Miami Open with a great comeback against Pegula
Elena Rybakina (2nd in the WTA ranking) demonstrated her hierarchy in decisive moments: after falling in the first set, the Kazakh reacted with authority and beat Jessica Pegula (5th) by 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4 to get into the semifinals of the Miami Open 2026.
The match began with absolute dominance by Pegulawho with 85% of points won with the first serve and a precise tactical reading, broke Rybakina’s serve on two occasions to close the set 6-2 in just 35 minutes.

With this victory, Rybakina maintains her perfect record this year against Pegula by also defeating her in the semifinals of the Australian Open, on her way to consecration in Melbourne, and the quarterfinals of Indian Wells, which increases the record to 6-3 in nine matches.
