2-2: Inter Miami pays the hangover from the Campeones Cup

He Inter Miami gave up a 2-2 draw against San Diego in the league debut of Argentine coach ‘Kily’ González four days after winning the Campeones Cup after defeating the Mexican Cruz Azul. Leo Messi and Luis Suárez were the scorers for Inter Miami, which in addition to the two points also gave up second place in the Eastern Conference in favor of the New England Revolution, both tied with 46.

Messi’s was a direct free kick with a lot of thread that hit the post before entering CJ dos Santos’ goal, while Suárez’s was a great shot from a small angle from inside the area.

This match against San Diego marked the debut of ‘Kily’ González in the MLS after a dream debut on Wednesday with the conquest of the Campeones Cup.
