2-2: Benfica draw despite the great performance of Prestianni and his great goal
He Benfica tied this Sunday against Viseu Academic (2-2) on the first day of the Portugal League, despite the great performance of the Argentine Gianluca Prestianniauthor of a great goal and an assist.
The first goal of the set Marco Silva -who took the reins after the departure of José Mourinho to Real Madrid-, was scored in the 10th minute, when a long and precise pass from Prestianni reached the Greek Vangelis Pavlidiswho cushioned him with his chest and finished first to open the scoring.
The ‘albiceleste’ winger led a Benfica that was overwhelming in attack, but lacked success, and, in the 55th minute, the recently promoted Acadómico de Viseu equalized with a header from Ruben Pereira after a corner kick.
Gianluca Prestianni restored the lead for his team in the 58th minute, when he dribbled past an opponent on the left, entered the area and, with a chipped shot, put the ball into the back of the net.
However, the visitors responded ten minutes later thanks to the Brazilian André Cloviswho finished first a cross from the right for the final 2-2.
The match was played with the stands of Gives Light empty, as Benfica was serving a sanction for the use of pyrotechnic material by its fans.
Given the punishment, the club set up a space near the stadium with screens so that fans could follow the match, where thousands of ‘benfiquistas’ gathered.
