In male university basketball, Kansas holds the record of consecutive participations with 28 participations in a row to Big Dance from 1990 to 2017. The longest active streak belongs to Michigan State, since Spartans carry 27 consecutive participations.
In female university basketball, Tennessee has the streak of 43 consecutive participations in tournaments, which is also the longest in the world.

Who has won more national championships?
In male university basketball, there is only one program with two national championship digits: the UCLA Bruins. From 1964 to 1975, the legendary coach John Wooden led the UCLA to 10 titles, and then the Bruins added a eleventh championship in 1995.
In female university basketball, UConn Huskies is the most winning team. From 1995 to 2016, the Huskies added 11 titles. There are four schools with at least three titles.

What is the game with more points of the Mideness March?
The game with more points occurred in 1990, with Loyola Marymount and Michigan combining 264 points. The 149 points of the LMU are still a record in March Madness, and the circumstances that surrounded that game make the total points (and the Cinderella’s career of the LMU) even more amazing.
What conference has won the most national championships?
In male university basketball, the PAC-12 has the largest number of national championships, with 15. In women’s university basketball, the SEC has the largest number of titles with 11.
What coaches have won more NCAA tournaments?
Geno Auriemma has 11 national championships with UConn, being the coach who most titles in the history of women’s university basketball and university basketball in general. John Wooden has the largest number of titles among the main male coaches, since he won 10 championships in 12 years in UCLA (including seven consecutive).
