Verstappen, like Alonso: wants to open his own museum

His trophy room at home has to be enormous and that is why the Dutchman’s intention is the same as Fernando Alonso’s a few years ago: to create his own museum.
Fernando Alonso opened his museum in 2015 and there you can enjoy a collection of between 300 and 400 exclusive pieces that have defined his career, especially as a pilot of the Great Circus. Located in Oviedo, the center has been visited by thousands of motorsport fans. Every car, suit and trophy from the Asturian’s career can be seen in this two-story museum.
Well, Verstappen welcomes doing something similar to show the steps of his career and, at the same time, be able to serve as an inspiration for future generations who want to emulate his exploits.
“I’m thinking about where I should be. I would like to have something like that one day. Fernando Alonso also has one like this in Spain. I think it’s very nice, with all those cars, all the Formula 1 ones. Maybe it will be a source of inspiration and motivation for young children“Verstappen said in statements collected by GP Blog.
One of the great attractions of the Alonso museum is that, in addition to F1, there are pieces from other categories in which the Asturian has competed. Without going any further, there is the Toyota with which he was proclaimed WEC champion in 2019 and the McLaren with which he competed in the Indy500. Verstappen, who is also passionate about other categories, could also introduce pieces from other disciplines far from F1. In fact, in 2026 he competed in the Nürburgring 24h with a Mercedes.
