Tom Voyce, the former England player who was missing, was found dead
A former player of the national team England disappeared last weekend in the Northumberland area due to flooding caused by Storm Darragh. It is about Tom Voycewho also played in Bath, Wasps and Gloucester.
Police in the area began searching for the 43-year-old man last Sunday after he did not return home the night before. The former winger was reported missing after authorities believe he attempted to cross the Abberwick Ford of the River Aln, near the town of Bolton, in a vehicle that was then swept away by the current.
The car had already been recovered previously. Northumbria Police confirmed on Thursday that its Marine Unit had discovered a body near Abberwick Mill, following a large-scale search.
We are deeply saddened at the news of Tom Voyce’s tragic passing. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
