The surname Barrichello returns to the world of F1

Fernando, Rubens’s youngest son, debuts this weekend in Formula 3 with the Aix team. At 19, the Brazilian’s dream is to follow the footsteps of his dad.

The last date of Formula 3’s exercise 2025 arrived with a strong surprise: the surname Barrichello reappeared in a weekend that has Formula 1 as the main poster. Fernando, Rubinho’s youngest son, debuts in Monza, where the third step on the road to the highest category closes his agenda.

Rubens won 11 large F1 awards of the 323 that he played and was a companion of Michael Schumacher in the string of five consecutive titles of the German. Fernando is his second son (Eduardo, pilot in endurance competitions, is the largest).

Fernando began running Em Karting in the United States and hit the leap to motor racing in 2022 in Brazilian formula 4. In 2023 he played the F4 tournaments of the United Arab Emirates, from Spain and Brazil. Last year he joined the Euroformula, a tournament in which he continues in 2025 (fifth march in the table).
