The Super Rugby Pacific confirmed a new format for the 2025 season

The 2025 season of the Super Rugby Pacific It will begin on Friday, February 14, no longer Melbourne Rebels (Out of financial problems), with 11 representatives and with news for the final phase.

Each team will play 14 games in the regular season, with seven at home and seven out, and will have two rest dates. The teams will face twice against four rivals, prioritizing the most prominent duels, while they will play once against the other six teams.

The six best teams at the end of the regular phase will advance to the final phase, which will be played in three weeks. In the first, the crosses will be 1 vs. 6, 2 vs 5 and 3 vs. 4, with the best classified as locals. The winners will advance to the semifinals, where the best classified team that has lost in the previous round will be joined, known as the “lucky loser.”

Already in the semifinals, the duels will be 1 vs 4 and 2 vs. 3, again with the best classified as hosts. The winners of the semifinals will play the grand final, which will be held at the team of the team best position in the table.
