The Spanish women’s 3×3 team, European runners-up after losing to the Netherlands

The Spanish women’s 3×3 basketball team, formed by Txell AlarconFunny AlonsoMartha Cinnamon and Helena Omafinished second in the European Cup disputed in Antwerp (Belgium) by losing in the final against the Netherlands by 16-13.

Spain dominated Group B with victories against Slovenia (21-9) and Hungary (19.14), which opened the doors to the quarterfinals.

Already in the qualifiers, the Spanish beat the hosts, the Belgiansby a resounding 20-9, and in the semifinals they got rid of Azerbaijan by 20-16.

In the final, the Spanish team could no longer Netherlandswhich won 16-13.

This is the seventh medal for the Spanish women’s team in the continental tournament, in which they have two golds (2021 and 2024), four silvers (2017, 2019, 2023 and 2026) and one bronze (2025).

In the men’s tournament, Spain, with Iván AurrecoecheaDiego of BlasIsaac May and James Zancareached the quarterfinals, in which they succumbed to France by 14-21.

Previously, in the group stage, the Spanish beat Italy (21-11) and the Netherlands (14-13).
