The sanction against Cristiano Ronaldo for leaving the national team is already known

Cristiano Ronaldo has been sanctioned with a 30-day suspension and a fine of 255 euros for leaving the Portugal national team’s concentration in Copenhagen due to disagreements with the coach Jorge Jesus, as announced this Monday by the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, abruptly left his national team’s concentration on September 30, one day before the Nations League match against Denmark, due to disagreements with Jorge Jesus after not having been lined up in the match against Norway in Oslo on the 27th of that same month (1-2).

According to Cristiano, the reason for the conflict was that Jorge Jesus made him warm up for half an hour and then did not take him out on the field. The FPF Disciplinary Committee opened a file on him on October 9 and provisionally suspended him.

When will you be able to play again?

The statement does not specify which games or activities the suspension covers, nor whether the time already served under a provisional sanction will be counted within the 30 days of punishment.

Since the national team’s next match is scheduled for November 14 and the incident occurred on September 30, Cristiano Ronaldo would be available for the matches against Denmark (day 14) and Wales in Cardiff (day 17).

Now the ball is in the court of Jorge Jesus, who has the decision of whether or not to call up the Portuguese captain for these last two games of the Nations League group stage.
