The point of the day? Ugo Carabelli and the shot that made Zverev laugh at the Paris Masters 1000
Not even his own Sasha I could believe it! In the second set of the duel between Camilo Ugo Carabelli (49th in the ATP ranking) and Alexander Zverev (3rd) in search of a pass to the round of 16 of the Paris Masters 1000the Argentine starred in an incredible point.
More precisely at 5-1, the German wanted to close the point quickly with a drop, to which the Argentine responded with quick footwork to counteract the play, leaving both of them in the net. But the curious thing arose when Zverev returned the ball with a cross volley while being less than a meter away from his rival. That ball, which went straight to Carabelli’s legs, was hit effectively thanks to his reflexes, which gave him one of the best points of the match.
As if that were not enough, Zverev was stunned by the situation and all he did was laugh out loud, unable to believe what he had seen.
Although the set would end up being 6-1 for the German, the applause would end up going to the Argentine and his reflexes.
