Dawn at the San Fernando Club and the hockey-loving boys were beginning to warm up, with the 2026 World Cup between their eyes, the +65 Master Team was stretching its legs. Marcelo Rinaldi, Víctor Vinue and Daniel García Tedesco They were the voices of a group of colleagues who defend themselves tooth and nail in order to put Argentina as high as possible, but in addition to that one of them slipped as he passed: sport is magic.

It’s pure magicbecause you always have it in your pocket and I have rubbed it more than once, I took it out and it helped me a lot in various aspects of life. I hope that this can be understood, especially by the generations that come down the line. They will always have it there”, Marcelo Rinaldi began by basting.

And he continued, “It’s wonderful, because it’s something that feeds your emotions.the head, the camaraderie, the power to enjoy. That is a touch, it is a gift that one could have in life and thank God one can continue doing it.”

One of the team’s leaders, with extensive experience in local and international hockey, spoke: “Last year we played a club tournament in England and luckily we won, so that motivated us to continue training and go for more. What more at 65 than being able to continue competing and preventing injuries, so very excited about this new process”, stated Captain Víctor Vinue.

Although the coach was not present, his assistant, Daniel García Tedesco, told details of what the stay during the World Cup will be like: “We have rented a house 15 minutes from the stadiumwe will all be accommodated to do the physical, technical and psychological work that we need to carry out the tournament. Coexistence is going to be challenging and at the same time I think it is going to be the prize that we are going to win.r, beyond the results. We have to distribute all the tasks to see how we are going to carry out the day to day, but I think it adds a lot to the competition.”

The right hand of the main coach, Marcelo Mascheroni, commented on the meaning of working with a +65 team: “It has several aspects, one is that it is a pleasure, it is an honor to be with great hockey figures. For me it is a luxury to be able to do this at this age, to give this space. I think what stands out the most, beyond sport, it is the human group that has been formedwhich is why I am with them, I could be playing for them in another category, but I give priority to the human scale that this group has and the truth is that it is wonderful.”

To finish, ‘Mura’ gave an omen that many do not want to say: “They don’t believe, but they are going to be champions and they still didn’t realize it. But it’s coming, it’s coming,” concluded Marcelo Rinaldi.
