The Gran Santiago Challenge will host elite cyclists and a recreational modality this April 19

This Sunday, April 19, the Greater Santiago Challenge will take place, an event organized by the Government that seeks to promote the use of bicycles, healthy living and the recovery of public spaces.

The activity will have two modalities: a 10-kilometer recreational cycle ride and an 85-kilometer challenge for elite cyclists. Registration is completely free, with a call aimed at boys and girls from 8 years old to high-performance athletes.

Those who participate in the activity will be able to live a unique sports experience, with an environment designed especially for the practice of sports. The main objective of the event is to promote sustainable mobility, strengthening the link between people and the city.

The tour

The family bike ride will begin in front of the La Moneda Palace, reach Pedro de Valdivia and end again in front of the Government House.

Meanwhile, the Great Challenge will pass through 6 communes, also starting in La Moneda and ending in the Pueblito de Farellones.
