The Clippers complete the transfer of Kawhi Leonard to Toronto after a historic penalty

The league revealed on September 2 that the Los Angeles team had paid $28 million to Leonard through a company owned by his owner to avoid the salary limit, for which he was dispossessed of five first rounds of the draft between 2029 and 2033 and imposed a fine of 30 million dollars.

In addition, it suspended its owner, the former CEO of Microsoft, for a year. Steve Ballmer.

Leonard, who will join the Raptors with whom he won the 2019 ring, was fined $700,000.
