The benches in Orioles’ triumph are emptied over Yankees

Baltimore – In situations where the benches were emptied, it seemed like an exaggerated reaction.

“We get tangled up, the emotions of both sides were out of control,” said Heston Kjerstad de Orioles, who was in the center of the matter. “I don’t think it’s too much.”

The benches and the bullpen were emptied in the fourth entrance of the Baltimore Orioles victory 5-4 over the New York Yankees on Wednesday night. Kjerstad stole the intermediate and the second base Pablo Reyes had to jump over him to catch the shot. Reyes fell on Kjerstad’s head and neck.

“A couple of words that I felt that I was missing in respect in the heat of the moment,” Reyes said through an interpreter. “Later, he softened a little.”

Whatever they said, it seemed excessive when a multitude of players around the second base quickly joined. But the situation calmed down.

“Maybe at first he thought I did it on purpose,” Reyes said. “But, obviously, he couldn’t see the shot or how the play was really developed.”

Kjerstad received a blow to the head in July for a launch of the then reliever of the Yankees, Clay Holmes, which caused the benches to be emptied. Kjerstad ended in the list of brain shocks after that game, but this time he did not seem injured.

The almost fight ended up being a simple note to Calce on a night in which the Orioles secured a very necessary victory in the series over New York. Baltimore took the first and last game for one race each, while they lost the second game 15-3.

The Orioles finished April in the last place with a record of 12-18, but winning their second series of the season gave them something they can try to build.

“Good teams have bad months,” said Baltimore’s manager, Brandon Hyde. We are really concentrated in a single game at the same time, a series at a time, trying to win as many series as possible. I loved how we went out, we hit well from the beginning.
